Le Bambou

Le Bambou
Le Bambou (70 rue Baudricourt, Paris) (Metro: Tolbiac, Olympiades) – given the years that France colonized Vietnam, it’s no surprise that at least a few Parisian restaurants would serve Vietnamese cuisine. This modestly-priced restaurant has a solid following, so seating can sometimes be difficult to get. A variety of dishes are offered here, often with Pho and traditional recipes such as Bun Bo Luc Lac, and spring rolls. For those eating Vietnamese food for the first time, Pho (derived from the French pot au feu or beef stew) is rice noodles in a beef or chicken stock — served with a plate of fresh Thai basil, mint, bean sprouts, chili and some lemon on the side. Another worthy dish is their green papaya salad.
