Moussa l’Africain (25-27 avenue Corentin Cariou, Paris) (Metro: Porte de la Villette, Corentin Cariou) – given Paris’ large African community (many of whom live in the housing developments outside the city (known as banlieus), it’s expected there would be a restaurant like this specializing in cuisine from Senegal and other former French colonies in West Africa. Its signature dish is the Chicken Yassa. Along with its meals, this restaurant occasionally hosts West African musical events, including jazz.
