Musee de l’Armée – Hotel National de Invalides (129 rue de Grenelle, Paris) (Metro La Tour-Maubourg, Varenne) – this is the country’s national military museum. Opened in 1905, is today one of the largest military museums in the world with an astonishing collection of different weapons from different time periods. The museum’s collections range from antiquity to the 20th century. In addition to military artifacts & other items, you will also find Napoleon’s tomb in the church at the Invalides, which is a part of the whole building complex (Les Invalides).

Admission: €9.50 (regular), €7.50 (reduced – for everyone after 5pm during the Summer and 4 pm during the Winter, for military veterans & reservists, groups of 10 or more – with a reservation). Free admission for those under the age of 18, the disabled, active member of the French military, and visiting (uniformed) members of foreign military units. Open Mondays to Sundays from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm (April 1st to October 31st), and Mondays to Sundays from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm (November 1st to March 31st).
